The Middleport Area Tourism and Beautification Committee

Our successful fund drives provide the beautiful flowers that are on display in the flower barrels along Main and State Streets each summer as well as the banners that welcome all to our friendly community.

The MATABC also sponsors outdoor band concerts the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend at the annual Middleport Festivities and various other musical/dance routines that are part of the celebration. These concerts and performances are held outside on the Commons on Park Ave. and are enjoyed by the whole community.

The MATABC is also a sponsor of the annual Charles Shephard Memorial Kiddie Parade and provides the prize awards for our participants. The parade is dedicated to Charles Shephard, a long-time Middleportian, helped coordinate the parade many years ago when the firemen held their annual Labor Day Weekend Carnival. There was a span of years that the parade was not held and Charlie brought it back with the help of the MATABC. It has been going strong ever since. Charlie is sadly missed by this committee.

Many thanks to those who donate funds and their time to this organization. Without your help we would not be able to do any of these projects for Middleport.

"Ring In the New Spirit" with our Annual February Fund Drive

The MATABC has been promoting Middleport as a friendly community since 1988. This not-for-profit depends on our February Fund Drive to finance all of our yearly activities. This is MATABC's only fund raiser, and donations made by individuals and businesses help pay for projects such as the flower barrels on Main Street, the Charles Shephard Memorial Kiddie Parade, and our original Christmas trees and wreaths that decorate the Village during the holiday season.

With your cooperation, the MATABC can help Middleport capitalize on its scenic and unique canal location.
